Slow Cooked Baby Back Ribs with Maureen Petrosky
These fun finger foods make excellent nibbles for a holiday soiree, and are super easy to make.
WHAT YOU NEED:

2 pounds pork loin back ribs (24 to 26 ribs), sawed in half by your butcher

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 red onion, thinly sliced

1 18-ounce bottle hickory-flavored barbeque sauce
STEPS:

Preheat broiler.

Sprinkle both sides of ribs with the salt and pepper.

Place ribs on a wire rack on a large baking sheet.

Broil ribs, bone side down, for 15 minutes.

Remove from broiler.

Carefully cut ribs into single-rib-portions (use tongs to hold steady).

Place onion slices in the bottom of a 3 ½ to 4-quart slow cooker.

Add ribs. Pour barbeque sauce over ribs.

Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 4 hours or on high-heat setting for 2 hours. If desired, serve with onion slices.
MAKES 24 to 28 pieces
